Sunrise Residence

'Sunrise Residence' is located in the Northeast of the island on top of a quiet hill with a beautiful view of the islands and the ocean.

It only takes about 10-15 minutes by car to get to the airport, to the beaches 'Choeng Mon' & 'Chaweng' and to the center of 'Chaweng'.

'Sunrise Residence' consists of a mansion and two apartments with a covered patio, sun patio and a swimming pool.
The mansion has two bedrooms with a spacious bathroom each (toilet, bidet, open walk-in shower). The bedrooms are furnished with a king sized bed, have air conditioning and a ceiling fan. Furthermore, each bedroom has its own closet. The open floor plan of living room and kitchen offers a comfortable couch to relax, Sat-TV, DVD player and a sound system. The kitchen is fully equipped and therefore includes a stove, microwave, toaster, refrigerator and freezer. All rooms are tile floors, all windows and doors have mosquito nets. The mansion even includes a safe. The residence has plenty of parking space on the property in front of the house.

Our guests also have full access to our WiFi for no additional charge.

Each apartment has one bedroom and both are furnished equally but do not include a DVD player, sound system or safe.

The Island and its tourist attractions

The idyllic island Samui with its gorgeous beach, plenty of coconut plantations and refreshing waterfalls can be found north of the gulf of Thailand, about 700 km south of Bangkok. Even though this island is not an insider tip anymore, it is still a fantastic alternative to the larger tourist centers. No matter if you explore Samui by foot, bike or car, your will experience plenty of beauty and cosmopolitan luxury. The 247 sq. km island can be explored from the 51 km long ring road very comfortably in just one day. The most important attractions are the Big Buddha, Hin Ta & Hin Yai and the Na Muan Waterfall.

Airport

The international airport that is located north of the island is the most important connection to the 'rest of the world' and has flights to and from Bangkok, Phuket, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, etc.

Climate

Samui offers tropical climate throughout the year with temperatures between 25 and 35 degrees Celsius (77-95 degrees Fahrenheit). A perfect time for a remarkable vacation is between January and October.

Medical Care

The medical care on Samui has high standards and includes 4 hospitals and plenty of national and international doctors.

Beaches

Beaches and bays are endless and string together. The most popular beaches are Chaweng and Lamai on the east coast. Quieter beaches are Thong Sai, Chaweng Noi, Choeng Mon, Mae Nam, Bophut and many little bays.

Activities & Recreation

All kinds of water activities are offered, whereas the beaches Chanweng and Lamai offer the most activities. Even two go-kart tracks, a miniature golf course, both an 18-hole golf course and soccer-golf course, bungee jumping and many other activities are waiting for you. In the near future, a waterpark will be added to the leisure program as well.

Food & Drinks

All delicious meals that the national and international cuisine can offer are also provided on this beautiful island. Most of the local meals include sea food. First-class dinners are exceptional good and can be savored in the specialty restaurants in which master chefs create culinary fantasies. Note for VOX viewers (german TV channel - 'Auswanderer gesucht' – German TV show named 'Looking for Emigrants'): A visit to the famous 'Bamboo' restaurant can be organized by us at any time!

Shopping

Shopping is an Eldorado for people, especially in regards to brands and their limited editions. Important when shopping on the streets: Do not forget to negotiate! Pay a maximum of only half of the initial price! Several supermarkets (7 eleven, Family Market) and shopping centers (Tesco Lotus, Big C) are available for self-catering guests.

Bars, Clubs & Discos

At night, it's getting loud at the Chaweng beach. Let the night begin at 'Islander Pub' or at 'Tropical Murphy´s'. The popular (beach) club is called 'Arkbar'. Many nightlife areas with cocktail bars, cabarets (lady-boy) shows and pubs are located here as well. 'Bar Ice' is also worth mentioning – a bar entirely made out of ice!

Wellness

The prices for massages at the beach or at the coastal road are very inexpensive- no matter if full-body, body or foot massages. A little pricier are massages in spas (Eranda Spa) which are located in Hotels or inlands.

Others

All smartphone or tablet users will be happy to hear that wireless is available at every restaurant, bar and even at some beaches for no additional charge. Often, it is only required to buy a drink in order to get the login information.

Whoever is curious about Thailand and its culture can find several Buddhist temples and can even get a tattoo done by a traditional monk.

Diving and snorkeling friends are able to find plenty of opportunities to enjoy their hobby. Several diving schools are in the neighborhood that fulfill all of your desires. The neighboring island Koh Phangan and Koh Tao offer interesting places to discover the world under water and are easily accessible by a short ferry ride. Dives at night can also be booked.
